Technical Consultancy Overview

STAT MARINE Technical Consultancy’s goal is to provide independent and professional consultancy services to the Oil Companies and their Contractors.

STAT MARINE personnel working in our technical consultancy department are permanent staff and have strong worldwide operational experience serving Oil Companies and Contractors. Indeed, the Group has developed a policy of long term relationship with its staff, many of whom have been employed by the Group for over ten years.

The technical consultancy business unit has thriven on the basis of a thorough hiring policy with the ultimate aim of guaranteeing the quality, the integrity and the confidentiality of our personnel and services.

The integration of the Offshore Engineering business unit and more recently of an Environmental Engineering business unit is increasing the overall efficiency of the Group, as our staff in the Technical Consultancy Department can now rely on the strong technical support provided by the Engineering Department.

With over 85 staff consultants, the Group has developed a scope of skills enabling us to serve our clients efficiently and timely in our areas of expertise.

STAT MARINE is then coming along with Customers in their key project phases interfacing with STAT MARINE core expertise:
  • Pre-project /Feed Phase
  • Field Development Phase
  • Field Operation Phase
STAT MARINE personnel can come along with Customers in their facilities (project offices), on their fabrication /testing yards, onboard their support vessels, offshore jackets or floating unit and support them in different areas of competence in link with STAT MARINE core expertise
  • Project Management Support
The qualification and the experience of STAT MARINE's personnel allow us to integrate our Client's Project Management organisations in a variety of positions, such as Project Manager, Project Technical Manager, Project Engineering Coordinator and with specialist positions in contract, planning & scheduling, procurement, ....
  • Project Engineering Support

Our engineers have also contributed to the design competition phases of development projects as Company Engineering Representatives. Our personnel range of expertise covers mainly the installation/pre-commissioning engineering for shallow water field development as well as deepwater fields.

This core expertise is complemented by capabilities in pipeline & riser design, maintenance and inspection engineering (Risk based inspection), flow assurance, commissioning & start-up.

  • Construction /Fabrication Management & Supervision
Our Construction Specialists are acting on behalf of our Clients as Company Site Representatives, Yards Superintendents and Construction Supervisors (mainly in Piping & Structures) for Jackets & Topsides fabrication and for the hook-up organisation on a number of projects. Some of our engineers have been responsible for the follow-up and the supervision of the fabrication & integration testing of Subsea Production Systems (manifolds and subsea wellheads/Xmas trees).
  • Offshore Field Operation Support
Our capabilities gained on various development projects are allowing us to support field operation activities such as marine operations, logistics, subsea IMR (Inspection, Maintenance & Repair) start-up and in-situ thermal tests coordination.
  • Offshore Operations Management & Supervision
Due to their strong operational background, our personnel are able to manage and supervise efficiently, on behalf of our Clients, most Offshore operations, including installation of pipelines, flexible risers & flowlines, control umbilicals, manifolds, S.P.M.'s, jackets, decks, pre-commissioning operations, diving and ROV/ROT operations.
  • Environmental Engineering
Based on a solid experience in the Oil & Gas industry environmental engineering matters, our personnel can provide a dedicated assistance to customers in the constitution of an environmental management plan (EMP) at project phase and in the implementation of their Environmental Management System (EMS) in their subsidiaries during field operational phase
